Killalea is a special place

of unspoilt beaches and sensitive ecological communities.

It is Crown land dedicated for public recreation.

The State government has been trying to hand  over the most beautiful parts

of Killalea to private developers.

The project has involved three sacked NSW ministers and the ailing company

Babcock and Brown. The State government has received over $360,000

from Babcock and Brown in political donations.

The impact of over 200 units, restaurants, swimming pools

and a convention centre, as well as 1,000 extra visitors a day has

never been publicly assessed.

No plan to preserve this delicate environment has ever been published.

Killalea is held in trust for the people of New South Wales and the Illawarra.

It is up to us as a community to stop the development and save the park for the future.
